Anger Managment Information: Anger is a normal human emotion

Contrary to Popular Belief - Anger is Normal

Anger is one of mankind's most shared emotions. It is one emotion we all have in common regardless of race, religion, culture, economic status or age. Anger is often viewed as a negative emotion and one we need to suppress. It serves many purposes, and while it is often used inappropriately, it can also be a powerful invention.
The primary issue is that it usually masks another emotion. It is much easier to express anger, for example, then it is to express sadness or fear. Our more primary emotions are the ones that we lack the the ability to communicate and therefore we use anger. The recipient of the hostility is often confused and may not understand where the anger is coming from. The reason most people don't actually talk about their more primary feelings is that it makes them feel vulnerable.
The question beckons, how can we learn how to be more expressive of how we really feel instead of using the emotion as a decoy? One realistic answer, is to take an live in person class or an online anger management class. Such courses will teach skills in effective communication skills and other ways to improve skills. Participants will learn how to assert themselves in a positive and constructive way instead of potentially damaging a relationship with poor behavior. Take the time to find a well established program. Quality anger management programs are available in almost any major city across the U.S. or can be taken as an online anger management course.
